Miami Seaquarium Map

Copyright 2008 Playground Maps Inc. All rights reserved. This is the first draft for the Miami Seaquarium project. Even though a request for minor changes was made, it was well received. Can't wait to see what it will look like once it's completed.

Work Stuff

Copyright 2008 Playground Maps Inc. All rights reserved. Ok so that's a low res image of the Sunny Isles Beach map I just finished at work. It's a combo of Illustrator and Painter. The basic outline, roads and water were done in Illustrator. Everything else is Painter. I wish I could post a better picture but anything exceeding this file size would not work. We got our first color proof 2 days ago and it looked great!

Soon to be painted : )

My take on Lukas Rossi

I approached this with a loose style, not really going for detail. I'm loving this new found form of drawing. I definitely see myself doing more of this.

Sketchbook

A quickie...

Just a quick sketch in Painter. 2 minutes tops. I'm trying to capture the overall figure in the least amount of time possible. More of these to come.

Figure Drawing

There's no such thing as too much figure drawing.

Male Anatomy

Some sketching for my next maquette. It will be a nice, stylized take on the male physique. I'm still not sure how it will be posed, but when I have the final sketch I'll definitely post it.

Tommy Lee's bod

Quick sketch of Tommy Lee. It was drawn and painted using Corel Painter. It's by far my favorite software. I tried to stylize it just a bit, but I didn't want to go over the top. After doing this piece I really want to get my tattoo : )

I'm definitely experimenting with this one. I was trained in a classical manner with oils, meaning very clean and polished. I'm enjoying the looseness of this style and will continue to practice.

Quick sketch in Painter

After a long day of forcing myself to draw and realizing I wasn't in the zone, I decided to paint something quick and easy with Painter. Sure it's extremely simple and lacking detail, but overall I'm pleased. God Bless all our men and women in uniform.

My first post!!!

So this is some of the figure drawing I've done the last 2 days. Let me know what you guys think. It really feels great to be drawing on a daily basis. Much more to come. And to Jorge/Henry, thanks for recommending Force:Dynamic Life Drawing for Animators. I already see some progress/evolution in my drawing.
